This award supports postdoctoral trainees in presenting their research at the annual meeting of the Society. This award is meant to support individuals who have received their Ph.D. degree within the past 4 years. Only postdoctoral scholars who are members of ASV are eligible for an award.

This award supports students in presenting their research at the annual meeting of the Society. A limited number of awards will be awarded to undergraduate students. Only graduate students and undergraduate students who are members of ASV are eligible for an award.

These $1000 awards are available to limited number of teachers of undergraduate virology students to help defray the costs of attending the ASV annual meeting. These awards will be made to those who are actively engaged in teaching and who might benefit professionally from attending the ASV meeting. Neither ASV membership nor abstract submission are required to receive this award.

The ASV has established the Global Scholar in Virology Awards to provide financial support for talented virologists working around the world to attend and present their work at the ASV annual meeting. The award is open to scientists at all academic levels, but preference will be given to those who are at a level equivalent to Assistant Professor and who present their work at this meeting. This application should include an abstract of research to be presented either as a talk or as poster at the ASV annual meeting.

Virtual Registration: If you cannot attend the annual meeting in-person and are applying for waived registration to the virtual component of the annual meeting, please put 'Virtual' in the Abstract ID field. ASV will not have a way for virtual attendees to present an abstract, so no abstract is required to apply for the Global Scholars waived registration.
